When is Lamictal most commonly taken when taking as a single dose, AM or PM? If you take twice daily at what milligrams do you start splitting the dose?

I am on Lamictal 300mg. I take 150mg in AM, 150mg in PM. We started splitting the dose when I reached 100mg.

Before you reached 100mg, were you taking it in the morning or at bedtime?

I was taking it in the morning. For some this med tends to keep them awake if taken in the evening. That has never been my experience.

So I tried taking my evening dose about 5 hours before I went to bed. It didnt really help.
Then I started taking some klonopin to help
me go to sleep and that worked well so its
something that someone who gets insomnia
from this could do.Anyway my dose does not exceed 100mg so I take it
all in the morning now and that works for me!J

TheoI'm no longer on Lamictal but when I was, I started at 12.5mg and took it in the PM. I tirated extremely slowly (every 2 weeks to hopefully avoid SJS) so each time was 12.5mg. I took the first increase in the morning. I alternated back and forth between adding my 12.5mg between AM and PM every 2 weeks until I reached my high of 150mg, at which point I did get SJS unfortuntely and had to come off of it.
So, I guess to summarize, I took both AM and PM from the very beginning.
What has the Dr told you to do?

My pdoc doc said PM, my general doc said AM. My target dose is only 75-100mg. Not to change the subject, but did you get SJS or just a rash that made you have to stop taking Lamictal? Also, once you stopped it was everything okay with you?
I was nervous about taking this med anyway and would like your input.
