I could not sleep on ziprasidone. It was stimulating my eye muscles and I could not shut them. It was a terrible side effect and I could not tolerate it. It was helping my anxiety and ruminating so I am very upset. I started back on risperidal again and increased my dose hoping to kill the anxiety. Has anyone had untolerable side effects from this geodon/ ziprasidone? It really weirded me out.

Don't go off of it until perhaps your doctor can remedy some of these side-effects {you said that it was helping your anxiety, so who knows if any other drug will work as well?}

Hope this is not a stupid question but did you try taking it earlier and earlier in the day - maybe asking your doc if you could cut out the second dose altogether if that didn't work?
Did the eye reaction bother you during the day or just at night?

I didn't find geodon to be as helpful as zyprexa, but I only took 20 bid for 10 days...not helpful for my sleep

im currently on geodon 20 mg for 3.5 weeks now and i feel terrible my eyes are blurred vision and are always blinking and also suffer pupil dilation
I HAVE TO GO OFF THIS MEDICATION ASAP AND START ZYPREXA WICH ONLY GIVES ME BLURRED VISION AND NO DILATION
btw ABILIFY causes same eye side effects
TERRIBLE JUST TERRIBLE!!!

I found very early at 40mg am and 40mg pm that geodon made me very tired and sleepy. My dosage was upped to 80mg am and 80mg pm. I slept 15 hours a day for 3 years straight. Finally I was able to prove it was the geodon doing this to me because I quit all my other meds. So now I am on amblify. I started this week. So far so good.

abilify gave me blurred vision and pupil dilation
im very upset such a good med gave me these fatal side effects back to zyprexa and AXID now to counteract the weight gain
