Hi terrics:
As we know, Lithium has both effectiveness, for depression and mania. But, you did off of the Lithium and started the Lamictal along with WB(I don't know of its dosage).In my guess, .... probably, you need to wait to see Lamical starts to kick in. I never been on the Lamical, then I have no clue on this regard, except a good A.D. efficacy from taking the Lamictal.
This is also, ... in my hunch/guess, probably, a lack of the Lithium in your system started to surface, which I had when decreased from 900 mg. to just barely 300 mg. Then, I needed to get it back on the 'regular dosage.' It's pretty bad, ... but again, you may need to wait for the Lamictal at least few more days to see if the Lamictal is for you. Because, everyone has different reactions to different meds.

I just forgot to mention one more thing in my previous reply/post, ...When you cut off of the Lithium, you should NOT stop abruptly, because sudden discontinuation of any psycho. med. causes some 'withdrawal' symptoms to worry about. Then, besides a lack of the Lithium efficacy(A.D. in this case), there is also some 'withdrawal' symptoms which MAY aggrevate your depression symptoms. Then, if you can, try to take a 'tiny' dosage of the Lithium, 300 mg. or less(if you can, ... cut one tab. in a half by using a sharp knife or med.-cutter). Your systems asking/looking for the Lithium at least, a new 'brand' Lamictal starts working on your depression.

Thanks happy girl. Are you taking lithium and putting up with the side effects? I was really mentally pretty well on the lithium. I feel awful now and angry stuff keeps coming out of my mouth. I am going to get fired. terrics
