Weird Side Effects from Lexapro or Oxycontin?

Posted by flipsactown on September 20, 2004, at 17:19:06

I have been having these side effects that I can only describe as tingling on the bottom of both feet at night that keeps me from sleeping. I keep having to rub my feet together hoping it would make it go away to no avail. I have been taken 30mg Lexapro for nearly 4 months now for unipolar depression. I am depression free at the moment but still have insomnia to contend with for which I have Seroquel Rx to take at bedtime. I don't like to take it on a regular basis, taking benadryl instead, because of the FDA warning regarding Seroquel having been linked to diabetes and the grogginess I get the next day.

The only other time I have felt this weird side effect was when I was tapering off of Oxycontin. The tingling was even worse then and I knew it was withdrawals from the Oxy. It has been 4 months since I last took Oxy and I have been taking Tylenol/Codeine instead 60mg, 5 times daily for chronic low back pain. I don't think withdrawals last that long. Or do they? Anyway, I don't get the tingling every night, maybe 3 times a week. They are not painful, just a nagging inconvenience making it difficult to sleep.

Any ideas, comments or suggestions?

Thanks.
FST
