Another question. My pdoc gave me the option of ativan or klonopin- she took me off xanax. I am starting to feel depressed on klonopin. Any advise on ativan anyone?

> SAny sedative can cause or worsen depression. With Klonopin, the problem is that you're dealing with strong stuff (it was originally designed for epilepsy) that lasts a long time. Ativan is weaker and won't last as long; the odds of Ativan-induced depression are a lower...I find it makes me feel euphoric. Good luck!

Thanks. I called my pdoc and she has decided to switch me to ativan-she called in a rx today. So, I am happy and hope it works for me as well as it did for you..

Are you getting the real name brand Wyeth, or a generic?
