anyone ever heard of 120mg of cymbalta/day?

Posted by Mike634 on November 7, 2004, at 13:56:59

I have been taking cymbalta for 6 weeks now and havent noticed much of an improvement. I am currently taking 90 mg/day, and my doctor wants me to go up to 120mg a day though and that kind of concerns me. I'm wondering if anyone else out there has takin this much, and what their reaction has been. It just seems like 60-80 is the max dose at this point. Thanx

Mike164, I haven't heard of 120mg dose and the PDR drug insert says that there is no additional benefit noticed after a 60mg dose.(although the double blind placebo study had doses up to 220mg) check Lilly's web site, The most common s/e's were nausea, dry mouth, constapation, fatigue, appetite loss, somnolence, and increased sweating. I am on 60mg for wk3 and havent had any of the usual s/e I get from AD's.
