I was put on Neurontin at bed for not sleeping well , this was about 2 years ago. It helped with the Ambein. I now take only 300 mg at bedtime (I was once at 1200mg at bedtime only) and my co-pay went up to $50.00 a month....who knows if it works anymore so I am going to go off of it and take as needed at bed. Anyone ever just stop at that dose???? Did you feel ill or just not notice? Thanks ahead

i would gradually go off of it. i suddenly stopped it a couple of years ago when it bound to my eyes and i was having vision problems and i remember feeling sort of weird and getting moody for a while afterward. i wish i could remember more about the drug for you but i can't. i have been on so many.

Hi Smokey and thank you....what happened to your eyes? If you do not mind saying I would appreciate it. I guess I should asak my doc for 100 mg tabs or do every other day..I do not mind moodiness I just do not want to feel sick like withdrawal pains, cramps etc

I just remember not being able to see very clearly. it was like trying to see through a thick haze. i wouldn't worry about it happening if you have been on it for a while though, b/c it happened w/in a couple of weeks for me. it just sucked b/c i was trying to write papers and study for finals at the same time.

I still want to go off it just because I doubt it still works and do not care to up the dose as it is just to help me sleep no big deal but a HUGE good news on this all is I went to get my script tonight and the new generic version is out so I can take more time
