Hello!!!
For those who have tried Wellbutrin...
How long did you have to take Wellbutrin for in order to experience a reduction in fatigue or drowsiness?

Good question. I know someone who is Bipolar II and takes Wellbutrin, 4mgs of Xanax, and 4mgs of Klonopin. She is currently going to school, has kids, and functions very well. If Wellbutrin if "energizing" how can a Bipolar take it without becoming manic? By taking all the benzos? Phillipa

For some reason, Wellbutrin is supposed to be less likely to cause mania than other ADs. I once heard someone say that it's because it's not a very good AD! LOL

What does LOL mean? Lots of Luck? Phillipa I have heard that too, about Wellbutrin and Bipolar. What happens when they use Zyban in large groups to stop smoking? Do they become energized, or anxious? Phillipa

SSRI's made me way more drowsy than Wellbutrin, and I can't say how long it took for it to subside as i have been taking it for a while. I would say a couple months. It can have some "activating" effects at higher doses for me. I'm BPII (errr for now). Maybe Bipolar depression is a dopamine dysfunction instead of a serotonin one. (Wellbutrin works on Dopamine, right? or am I dummy?).
