Hi Jeroen,
Diphenhydramine is used to treat acute dystonias which occur *during* treatment with an antipsychotic. It has a similar effect to Akineton and is not usually useful for tardive dyskinesia or tardive dystonia.

Ed.

Sorry to interrupt with an off topic question..
Did you ever try the anticholinergics to treat your extrapyramidal symptoms? As far as I know, actually most of the antiparkinson drugs (Anticholingerics are part of them) can be used to "reverse" EPS. (and please correct me if I am wrong :)
Just 2 examples:
http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic2/biperiden_ids.htm
INDICATIONS
AND USES* As an adjunct in the therapy of all forms of parkinsonism (idiopathic, postencephalitic, arteriosclerotic)
* Control of extrapyramidal disorders secondary to neuroleptic drug therapy (e.g., phenothiazines)---------

...Additionally, it is indicated for the control of extrapyramidal disorders caused by central nervous system drugs such as the dibenzoxazepines, phenothiazines, thioxanthenes, and butyrophenones.Maybe I could help you a little....
