I was wondering, if a person has been stabilized for years vs. major depression recurring (as with MAOI Parnate), and this drug is also very effective in keeping anxiety at bay, why does break-through anxiety sometimes occur?
I mean, what's happening "chemically" during the anxiety spells? Is the so-called break-through anxiety related to dopamine depletion? Or would it arise from a change in the levels of other neuro-transmitters such as GABA?
