feeling dumb on effexor

Has anyone who had concentration problems and 'brain fog' on effexor found another med (other than wellbutrin) that doesnt hinder cognitive function as much? Been on 150mg effexor xr for just over a year and feeling dumb.
keep smiling,

For me, zoloft had the fewest effects on cognition.

It is strange, cause pharmachologically it should not have that much effect on cognition.

I think there is some unreported anticholinergic effect of this drug.

Assuming effexor has anticholinergic properties are there meds used to induce cholinergic effects? I'm still learning the pharmacology, forgive my ignorance.

There are a few drugs that enhance cholinergic activity. Alzheimer's drugs (such as Aricept) increase cholinergic activity. Caffiene does as this as well.
