Has anyone had short term memory loss as a side effect of either of these meds? My DH just switched from Lexapro (before that Paxil) and had significant memory problems, especially on the Paxil. He thinks it isn't as bad now, but it is hard to tell yet. I was just wondering if anyone had confirmed memory loss on either drug.
Also, do things like ginko help with memory loss caused by medication? Or has anyone tried a stimulant with an AD and did that work for you?

When I was taking Lexapro my memory got so bad that I would forget what I was saying in the middle of a sentence, or when I was at work someone would tell me something and within less than a minute I would either forget what I was told or who it was that said it, I had to stop taking for that reason alone because it was affecting my job and I couldn't risk losing my job for it. Within a week of stopping my memory began coming back, and I'm on Cymbalta now and do not seem to have any memory problems, but I was on Lexapro for almost a year before it got intolerable so it remains to be seen if Cymbalta will also cause this problem.
