I dont know how much this will help to answer your question, but I do know that benzodiazepines works on GABA receptors. When benzos attach to GABA it increases the effects of GABA (GABA's job is to reduce stress and fear---also it decreases your chance of having a seizure)
(Now, you probably already knew all of that and are wanting a really smart person to answer, but I am taking a class on Drugs & Behavior at school so thought I would put what I DO know to good use!)

so, if you don't mind, could you detail a little further into your situation. I mean, with narcoplepsy and ADD do you have to take just one medication? Does your doc have you on benzos at all? I'm curious now.
