I was wondering, I've read that the combination of prozac and zyprexa for bipolar depression and treatment resistent depression has worked well in studies. Has anybody experienced this? I'm on Zyprexa, zoloft, SAM-e, namenda, adderal, aricept. Is combination of zyprexa and prozac somehow better than any other ssri combined with it, or are they all pretty much the same?

This combo worked for me after a few days for a day or so but then pooped out. I´m testing amisulpride at the moment but if that doesn´t work I will give it a shot with zyprexa and przac for a longer period of time.

Not sure why but prozac did nothing for me. On the other hand zyprexa I've been taking for 7 years now. I found celexa to work well with it.

Hi:
I think you're mentioning about 'Symbyax' that is Zyprexa and Prozac combo. in one capsule which has a good reputation on Bp depression. However, most of Bp'ers avoid any of SSRIs due to a tendency of inducing 'manic' episodes. Even, 'cycling' getting worse. However, this combo., I hear/read a good on Bp depression.
Try to get a web site below. There is a good information regarding Symbyax.http://www.symbyax.com/understanding/index.jsp
