How long until Seroquel starts working for anxiety?
I just started taking it two days ago (25mg in morning) for GAD/panic, it's been a little sedating but not that bad.

For me it took about 3 weeks to get the steady effect I think. I take 25mg to 50 mg. I hated it at first.. just hated it, I felt like I was drunk, and to borrow Dinah's expression "Like I had a sumo wrestler on my head" I'm so glad I stuck with it, it's been terrific for my G.A.D.
Overall, even better than Ativan which was what I was taking before, and I never thought I'd hear myself say that.

Well maybe I should have stuck with the seroquel when I was given it. But the puckered lips and suckenness of my cheeks after I went off it! Fondly, Phillipa

May I presume you meant "sunkenness" or do you just have a sucky face : )
Oh great! now I have an opportunity to ask, I've been dying to know, are you happy with *it*?
I was furious when my pdoc switched me to seroquel from ativan.. livid. I wanted to switch Doctors but could not. I was angry about the switch on principle, and then after I tried the seroquel I was convinced I was being given yet another drug company.. "we'll call this an an anxiolytic too and take advantage of benzophobia while we can pill"
What I hated even more, was having to tell my PDoc she was right after all.

No I meant "puckered". It was really wierd. About a week after they dc'd it I looked in the mirror and my face was all withered and puckered like a prune. And my lips dried, cracked, and peeled. I assumed it was the antihistamine in the seroquel. It then went away. Fondly,Phillipa
