i've been on klonopin and clonazepam and i never had any tests done. i do not think that is a common practice when it comes to clon. but it could vary between people and their diag.??-take care Carolina

I think here in the UK you have to be registered with the clozapine monitoring agency and receive regular blood counts to receive clozapine at any dosage. My BNF (old) says it has to introduced in an inpatient setting also. Certainly when I was offered clozapine they wanted me in hospital to start it. Buns

I don't know where you live. I live in USA, taking 2 mg of clomazepam a day, and don't have to take any tests.

Okay Link, your surperior knowledge shines through. So what is clozpine is it Clororil? Fondly, Phillipa Probably spelled it wrong.

No no, I have no superior knowledge. But yes, clozapine is clozaril, an antipsychotic.

> LinkadgeIn the US, yes... 2% of patients are potentially at risk for agranulocytosis (low blood cell count). Required by Novartis (and probably the FDA). This is in the US, your country may be different although unlikely.
