Does anyone else agree with me, that a potent and selective 5-ht2a antagonist would be a welcome addition to our armorarum of psychiatric drugs.

Yes, I agree, I'd like to see what they could do for us.

Yes!! And key word there is "selective." i'm sick of all these stupid drugs that antagonize 5-ht2a receptors but have a plethora of other pharmaco-properties, and hence side effects, as well (e.g., mirtazapine, nefazodone, trazodone, cyproheptadine, and certain APs)! And a selective 5-ht2a antagonist could be extremely useful potentially.
Yes i completely agree with you. Good call.

Well, it would be great if we had a whole toolbox of potent and selective receptor agonists. A drug for each receptor. Then somehow, through genetic analysis we could develop a custom pill to hit the targets that need to be hit.
I would like a 5-ht1a + d3 agonist.

It is too bad ritanserin is not to be marketed anywhere. It is a powerful 5-HT2 receptor antagonist.
You could combine an atypical neuroleptic + Mirapex.

Yeah. It'd be neat to find a doctor who'd be willing to try the cool combinations. (or maybe not so cool)
