OK, last year this is sort of what led to me crashing entirely, stopping all meds, going through nasty withdrawal, etc. Now I'm trying Lamictal again, and after about three and a half weeks -- two weeks at 25mg, two at 50mg -- I'm starting to worry, because I had a horrible night last night. Insomnia -- and why is it that, by the time I know I need a pill, it's too late to take one? -- some racing thoughts, restlessness, etc.
So, has anyone had this as they were titrating up? If so, was it transient? How long did it last?
This time, at least, I know that if I call Dr CattleProd, I'll get an answer that is actually relevant to the question. What a concept. That's what's keeping me going through this so far...
Thanks!
(Oh, and my Beloved Spouse -- a/k/a my "worse half" -- calls Dr CP "Dr Chuckles." Don't know why...)

Wasnt Dr. Chuckles from that Horror Dr Giggles.
I have been on 200mg of Lamictal for the past year. I have always had a terrible time sleeping as long as I can remeber. I mean even at 10 or 11 I can remember being up all night listening to talk radio wide awake at 2AM.
However on lamictal I have tried seroquel for sleep and now Restoril and nothing. 30mg of Restoril has zero ffect on me.
I am starting to think that the lamictal is part of it. The only times I ever get really good sleep is when I do alot of runnign or working out. The problem is with no sleep I can't get myself to the gym.I think it may be the lamictal because my sleep is worse then ever.

I believe it still continues to interfere with sleep to some degree, though it's generally not bad. I wake up earlier than I probably would otherwise. If I find it's becoming a problem and I want to do something about it, a small dose of seroquel does the job.
