does anyone know what is the actual problem combining these two meds? or if there even is one. people definately combine atypical antipsychotics with MAOIs with no problem, what would be the problem with remeron? has anyone tried this or know of any documentation of this being tried?

In reply to combining Parnate + Remeron, harmful? anyone try?, posted by iforgotmypassword on October 3, 2005, at 9:29:58
I think Remeron can be safely combined with all MAOIs
I've certainly taken it with Marplan/Isocarboxazid without having a problems, and I don't see why Parnate would be different
As per-normal the message is "start low go slow"
Here is a link to an article by a psychiatrist who says its ok
