Tolvon (mianserin):NE alpha-2 antagonist
H1 antagonist
5-HT2 antagonistRemeron (mirtazapine):
NE alpha-2 antagonist
H1 antagonist
5-HT2 antagonist
5-HT3 antagonist
Drugs usually do things other than what science recognizes and lists as important. Sometimes, just knowing that the chemical derivation of two drugs are different, as Larry indicates, is enough reason to try both drugs. Even if these two drugs looked the same to scientists, they would not necessary look the same to the brain. I agree with Larry in saying that Remeron, for the average person, is an improvement over Tolvon. However, there are probably people who respond better to Tolvon than Remeron. For me, I would choose Remeron first.

Hi Tepi :-)
>hi ed , have you tried any of these drugs?
Yes, I've tried Remeron. I find it good for helping me sleep.
>why do you think Remeron is not better than Tolvon?
Remeron and Tolvon are similar. I don't think one is better than the other.
SALUDOS!
