just a little mood stabilization please?

Posted by sleepygirl on January 3, 2006, at 2:12:36

Despite the effexor XR the anxiety runs rampant, the seroquel feels like a bit much, and I stay a bit moody, any suggestions? My pdoc seems concerned that I lowered my seroquel to a mere 12.5mgs - since it was only previously 25mgs I thought perhaps all it might have done for me was make me sleepy, and thus less concerned since less alert. My pdoc thought that actually the dose should be raised since I was feeling sort of apathetic and unmotivated

I just don't know........I was ready to pitch the effexor too a couple of weeks ago, but I just am not willing to ride that roller coaster yet (withdrawal and all). It's been so long I don't even know myself without it.

I'd like to think that I give meds a chance. I just don't know....so I got myself some prn klonopin and we'll see how often I use it
what is a good amount of anxiety anyway? who knows?

have you tried a more conventional mood stabilizer? something like lamictal or trileptal might be helpful, and they're not as problematic as antipsychotics, especially at low doses.

So med you feel mood stabalizers are better than benzos for anxiety? Are you currently taking any meds? Just curious. Fondly, Phillipa
