I switched from Wellbutrin (which worked, but made me irritable) to a diet pill, which seems to work the same, but without the Wellbutrin irritability.
Now, after about 4 weeks on the diet pill, I am getting headaches and feeling run down and tired. An amphetamine should't make me feelt his way.
Is there anything that can be combined with Wellbutrin that will counter the irritability? SSRI's seem to make me hyper - not good.

Remember, you're using the diet pill off label for psychiatric conditions so the side effects studied are not for what you are suffering from. You're probably feeling sheer fatigue from burnout from a stimulant. I'm not too up on stimulant side effects but there are some here who take prescribed stimulates (e.g. Adderall)

Lamictal works for some.

I tried a lot of meds to help with being tired, run down. All I got was side effects, little benefit (other than klonopin for my social anxiety). Provigil did help me with energy, but that would make sense for treating a sleep disorter.
My doc suggested I get a sleep apnea test. Turns out I have it. For those that seem to have low enery, poor concentration, tired, etc I'd really consider getting a sleep apnea test. If you snore, even a little probably have it.
If you have a spouse ask them. Also ask if they ever hear if you gasp for air when you sleep. You'll never feel rested if you have it unless you are diagnosed and get treatment. Just a thought.

Hi,
I'm bipolar and my doctor has said that one of his concerns about Wellbutrin (although I take 300 mg) was that it can make bipolar folks manic...and one of the symptoms of mania is irritability...???Tam
