Hi, Can anyone give me some possible reccomendations of some good to very good Pdoc. referals for the Kansas City Missouri area or oven over on the Johnson County side of the city(Overland Park, Kansas)? I have had some good ones over the years and either they moved to another city or state or I had to quit them for what ever reason....... I hope this is ok to ask this on this board? I also would not mind having the Pdoc either be White American desent etc. I do not ask for the ethnic thing because of any prejudices ...it is just that I have a VERY hard time hearing what the foriegn Pdocs say and it in my honest opinion it severely hampers my ability to work with a dr. who has such a deep dialect ..I beleive it is effecting my chances at getting the best care possible.
My diagnoses are the basic.BP II severe anxiety.OCD.... and so on .been on most everything and 2 different coureses of ECT(1st good) 2nd time too anxious to continue.. Please !!! Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Sorry about my spelling.
BTW I just don't think my present Pdoc whose waiting room is most always full; and is from Nigeria (problem with understanding him etc) really even cares about how F*&King miserable I am. The docs just don't seem to care about how bad out anxiety is. Thanks in advance for any help!

Probably have seen most of these. Generally those asssociated with research universities are of a higher tier. You have the right to request whatever type of psychiatrist you want -- including language preferences and the like, it is your dime at least I'm sure partially and your feelings.
