Hi J

Don't worry J, it's a pretty standard warning which comes with all psych drugs ie. be careful when combining with other psych drugs.

J,
What I was trying to say is that all psych drugs carry the warning that one should be careful when combining them with other psych drugs.

Hi J,
>can you advice me how to taper safely of uni tranxene 15 mg, i feel much better
The first step would be to replace Tranxene with an equivalent dose of diazepam (Valium). This is important because Tranxene does not come in capsules containing a small amount of drug. Diazepam comes in scored 2mg tablets, which are very useful for tapering.
10mg diazepam is approximately equivalent to 15mg Tranxene.
Once you're on 10mg diazepam (five 2mg tabs), you can reduce the dose in steps of 1mg (half a 2mg tab) every 2 weeks. Once you're down to a very low dose you might want to reduce in steps of 0.5mg (1/4 of a 2mg tab) until you're off the diazepam completely.
