Just out of pure curiosty, has anyone of you tried it for depression yet?
Its available under the brand name Azilect for quite some time in parts of europe.

And, no. I dont plan to take it. I am currently withdrawing from everything else to end up on Nicergoline and Sublingual Mao B selective Selegiline only ... and live happily ever after ;-Dbye

You take nicergoline? If so, what's it like for you?

Hi Ed
Nope. No Clomi anymore.
I already was on Clomipramine when I had the significant improvement when I added Selegiline. Well, hard to tell which drug(s) are/were responsible for that. But I talked to my doc about it and he said he thinks the only drugs I "need" is Selegiline and also Nicergoline.
Well, I realized where my probelms in life are and try to work on them with less drugs...I am already Clomipramine free for a few days and started to taper Nortripyline. very slowly because I am on that drug for 2 years by now.
anyway. Hope you are well too :)

Its like a mild and pleasant psychostimulant to me. I get worse (depression) on piracetam, aniracetam, Ritalin and adrafinil....
Brand Name "Ergotop", where I am. I take 30mg.
And overall improves my response to ADs.
My doc (A neurologist which is also a psychotherapist btw) frequently uses Nicergoline as adjunct for age related depression. You probably know its a scavanger of free radicals, increases dopamine synthesis and so on ...... its also an ergot alkaloid like some dopamine agonists.
hope I answered your question
bye

A bit like Hydergine, perhaps. I like Hydergine. Apart from nasal stuffiness and insomnia.

>Hi. Very interested in your outcome with the Nicergoline (never heard of it before) and Selegeline (which I've tried and was effective but had a very short "lifetime" for me. Pooped out in only 3-6 months.)
Nardil is failing and I'll vow never to go back on it again. It's side-effects are too brutal to deal with. I'd rather die then deal with them again! (seriously)
