after seeing all the re's. I saw his post about the topic of ad's and long-term effects and I fliiped. I am on meds for 8 years and this freaks me out. I got angry and went off on this guy. Anyway I feel badly that because of me, all these re's with an insult to this guy are posted and I apologize. Just stopped klonopin to so I'm really feeling my anger.

Oh, he is a Scientologist, not a p-doc :), according to his last posting, which makes me a little leery about this board now and my future use of it. On the other hand, as you mentioned, he has contributed a varying amount of postings and has been around here quite a while before me.
When one slanders, there hath best be a good reason, or you work for the few European countries who have shoved it out for tax evasion and other reasons. It still sucks money dry here in the USA, taking over entire towns (Clearwater, FL). But anyhow, I have talked about CoS enough, and that's for the social side -- unless we start getting blatantly antipsychiatry postings.I have nothing against debate about psychiatric medicine, in specifics -- generalities tend to worry me on a board that so far has given me some pearls of wisdom, on things such as side effects, benefits of new drug introductions, etc. All of course, can only be used as "case reports" in the scientific journal sense, but are interesting in their merit.
Linkadge, I have nothing against you as a person. I know your orientation (not religious), and that was exactly the reason some people I know were sucked into the group. And there were in the past pseudo-CoS things like the "Forum" which also did schemes of such.

If you don't agree with the notion that SSRI's may lead to abnormalities in the integrety of serotonin receptors, then why not attack the credibility of the study ? Its not as if I authored the study. Its not as if this was my claim. I was simply posting a study to see if people could comment.Please understand, I posted the study in a spirit of question, not a spirit of comment.

Not that it matters to me personally, i'm just being nosey I guess as Scientology is controversial with Psychiatry.

No, I am not a scientologist. I don't even fully know the beliefs of the group. Aren't they against all psychiatric medications, which I am not.
Its really not that binary. So I question the safety of a medication, and I am a scientologist, I don't really follow the logic :)

I took that to mean you were a scientologist, it was a matter of semantics, and I completely misunderstood the sentence -- I read it as yes, Linkadge is one of "those" Tom Cruises.
Sorry for the misread, but the quotes and double quotes in that thread made me think otherwise, because there are sites and people out there like I said, who try to completely defraud things, and living here in LA, well, its just weird sometimes.
