Wellbuterin usage-Very Happy

Posted by curlygirl on May 2, 2006, at 4:08:43

I have been using Wellbuterin for 9 days and the depression has lifted. I have my life back! The only side affect I noticed was anxiety but that could have been related to a troublesome situation that has been solved and the anxiety is gone as well. I tried Zoloft and Effexor and both made me feel dizzy, nasueated, tired and I had a feeling of being out of it. Wellbuterin has given me none of those side effects. I have also had some insomnia but my dr feels that may be resolved when I've had it in my system for at least 14 days. My dr also said that I didn't have to wean myself off the drug that when I decided I didn't need it I could just stop using it. She did suggest I stay on it at least 3 months. I have had depression on and off for the past 15 months and resisted using medication but I got so low the last time I just had to try to get some relief. I've also tried naturopathic methods and they worked for the same period of time as depression stayed away without supplements. When I used the supplements I also had alot of insomnia or only slept for about 4 hours a night for 30 days and then crashed and went really low. I was hyper on the supplements and returned to normal when I stopped using them. I just hope the depression stays away this time.
Good Luck!

Hi!

Well, thats good to hear that you've got some relief from wellbutrin. I think the anxiety and insomnia are typical side effects.

I also got a slight euphoric feeling for a couple of days, which faded unfortunately.

Anyway welcome to pbabble!

What natural supplements did you take that made you hyper? I'm curious because I have zero energy and desperately need something to give me a 'kick'.

Kind regards

Meri

Maybe be careful when you stop taking the Wellbutrin-I've just stopped Lexapro and Paxil after months/years and had no withdrawal whatever. I went from 300 to 150 mg Wellbutrin XL and felt pretty dizzy for a few days-I think I would have gone a little slower now, not that it was a really big deal. I just mention that because I seem to not be effected by AD withdrawal in general, but I was affected by Wellbutrin withdrawal...so...

Glad you are feeling so well! :>}
