heroin could be a nice med taken in very moderate dosages perorally. Used against pain its name originally is derived from "hero". On the package was a female hero. It should be again on the market available as a normal pain med what it was some time ago.
Or jogging like hell is another possibility. Gens of Proopiomelanocortin will release endogenous opiates, endorphins. But in our busy world someone will easily have withdrawal symptoms after stopping jogging. The humanoid is too busy.

In reply to heroin - actually a useful med, posted by sdb on July 5, 2006, at 17:33:29
Seriously when I ran and taught aerobics at the ymca in Westport CT there was a man who injured himself and couldn't run anymore had to swim and each day he came in he was crying cause he couldn't jog. No good endorphins from swimming. Love Phillipa
