I am on paxil 11mg (i am very sensitive to meds and 20mg makes me a zombie). It is one of the only meds to help my severe clinical depression caused by Accutane. I also have severe social anxiety half of which has been cured on Paxil.
So I cannot stop paxil. I can only add meds to this. I am also on omega 3 fatty acids... Fish oil for 1 week and will continue to take more and see how it works. Seems to have a small effect but hard to tell.
I used to take dexedrine and while it helps with head pains and hot pains and allows me to relax it dulls me out and I am less able to perform certian tasks. Also it gives me an unhealthy drugged up look with black eyes. So screw that. I look a lot better now without the dexedrine but my drive in some ways is lower. AND my sex drive is lower too as dexedrine helped with that.
Anyway I need to add something to this paxil and fish oil to help me out here. My drive is low, Motivation is low, Sex drive low, Interest in women low, Feel like doing nothing.
I recently upped the dose of my paxil from 10mg to 11-12mg daily. Hope that helps.

SO what med do I add that works on norepinephrine and dopamine or stronger effect on seratonin while not interfering with paxil? I need to stay on paxil. And what helps with sex drive too? I assume any norepine/dopamine med will help with that regard. So what do I take?FDA banned vivarint/veloxazina/vivalin years ago which was one of the few meds to really help me. Worthless anti-european nonsense. Good meds taken off the market while poison is allowed to stay.
How unfortunate. So how do i get my life back together. I feel like crap and low motivation/interest in anything is a huge problem.

Paxil can blow your sex drive and ability away completely. Adding Wellbutrin helps, but the best course of action is to get rid of the Paxil. It's the very worst of all of the antidepressants, extremely addictive and with many adverse effects. It should not be on the market, let alone prescribed.

I had excellent results after 3 months on my first ad paxil lomg with xanax. It got me back to work. Love Phillipa

I'm pretty sure that out of all the SSRI's on the market, Luvox has the lowest/best profile for sexual dysfunction. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I had the same problem and was switched to a low dose of Luvox and it improved greatly but once dosing of Luvox exceeds 150mg per day the problem will come back. It worked well for social phobia too. Good luck
