I have noticed that when I am on Valprote by itself I have very frequent and vivid dreaming (about 8 per night). When I add any anti depressant, the dreaming is back to normal. Has any one else had this experience and does anyone have an explaination.

i haven't had this experience, but I have part of an explanation.
Most AD's block REM sleep, so it would counteract the valproate influence.
