Jan, I think we have a lot in common. Here is how I see it: I think failure is not having a med not work for you, but rather never trying it at all.
Yes, my concern is probably the same as yours: Ensam could likely cause more anxiety, which is the last thing you and I both need. However, every med affects everyone differently. It actually could cause less anxiety.
What do we have to lose to try it? If my pdoc approves me, I am going for it. If it doesn't work out, then I am one medicine closer to finding out which one really works for me.

The amphetamine by-products aren't so strong with Emsam- that effect is stronger with the oral version. It might not be something to worry much over. How did you end up with the sample boxes in the first place? But if your doctor doesn't think it's the right med for you at this time, perhaps it's best to heed the doctor's advice instead of second guessing. See how the doctor's suggested program works out-after all, we are not one size fits all.
