Hi everyone,
I have learned that nardil is worthless to me unless it is at 90 mgs/day. This dose causes me to sleep 4-6 hours during the day. This is not acceptable.
I am going down on the med - 15 mgs every 4 days. Tomorrow I will be at 30 mgs.
How long will it be before I no longer need a nap at 3:pm? Do I have to wait the 2 week washout period before I am just back at my baseline depression without fatigue?
I am starting graduate school on Monday...I have to leave and drive an hour at...
3:00!!!!
Maybe I should also mention that I have an anxiety problem too, so too much coffee is not the answer.
I am also on neurontin and klonopin.
Please help.Thanks,
Diane

So unless you go high on nardil it doesn't work for anxiety and depression? Love Phillipa

PlatBride: Your experience with Nardil interests me. I have GAD and am taking Emsam, which is sort of activating.
Did Nardil hit your anxiety? Did you have GAD? Do you mind sharing a bit of your history.
Thanks so much, Michael

It took me about a month and a half until the withdrawal symptoms stopped and they were not pleasant. That was cold turkey from 60 mg. I've found that I can tell if I'm in withdrawal or poop out my teeth really ache. This is a good indication because mood changes can really sneak up on you. Don't get discouraged. Everybody is different and you might have no problems. This is just me bitching.

Yes, I have GAD. Nardil was good for it, but I always need high doses and there was so much fatigue!!!
Does the emsam agravate your GAD?
I take a lot of neurontin and some klonopin to try and control it. Nardil was better. have you tried it?
I have been on many, many meds. Nardil was efficacious, but too many untennable side effects for me.
I also have either major depression or bipolar II....The docs say bp.I hope that you have luck with emsam and that I have answered some of your questions.
Diane
