What could you not tolerate? As I still think about the EMSAM I have. Love Phillipa

I am on Nardil now, but I took Emsam 6mg for three months, along with 4mg of Klonopin and 100mg of Seroquel, and it seemed to help with GAD, my primary issue. I felt like a 6-7 on scale from 1-10.

Some ppl have said Emsam at 12mg does a much better job with GAD.

Right now I am on Nardil trial for two months. How long did you take it? What was its effect on you? Michael

my problems with nardil were insomnia, needing a long nap every afternoon, no matter what the dose, gastrintestinal problems and serious weight gain. I had to take it at very high doses for it to work at all. It worked, but it sucked up all my energy, and my doc would not prescribe provigil.

I think it also made me feel kind of "stupid". I took it for four months trying different doses and so forth.

I'm quite afraid that emasam will not work - will not be strong enough, since it took so much nardil to keep anxiety at bay.

Thanks for your responses. Michael, at what dose did you start to feel improvement? How much nardil are you taking now?

12 mg of EMSAM and 1 1/2 mg of Klonopin has worked well for me. Five months on EMSAM.

I took 6mg, and got anxiety relief from also taking Klonopin (up to 4mg) and Seroquel (25-50mg).

I am on Nardil 45mg per day, along with 1-2mg of Klonopin and 25mg of Seroquel. Five weeks. Will give it 8-10.

If I am not satisfied, will go back to Emsam most definitely and try it at the 12mg dose like Johann.

Think you are making a mistake if you dont try it, and try it for two months. Good luck and keep posting. Michael

Has anyone gotten worse on emsam?

After about 4 days on emsam I felt more anxiey than before! No amount of klonopin or neurontin would abate it.

I think I am giving up on this drug. I feel so awful. Anyone else had this experience?
