I started taking Depakote 250 ER again and have added Trazadone (since I can’t take SSRIs or SNRIs). The Trazadone is supposed to help with sleep and hopefully with depression. I take the Traz at night and it does make me sleep all night, but I am too sleepy the next day. I also have Klonopin for anxiety.
Will the Trazodone really help with depression or would Wellbutrin help? I can’t take Wellbutrin by itself because it makes me irritable. Does the Depakote help with the Wellbutrin irritability?
Since I can’t take SSRIs or SNRIs, I guess I should stick with the Traz to help with serotonin.
And maybe add Wellbutrin in the morning to help with the sleepiness?

You often need really high doses of Trazodone for it to act as an antidepressnat. I think the combination of trazodone and wellbutrin would be good.
Wellbutrin is used more often for depression, trazodone is often used in conjunction with other AD's as sometimes it isn't strong enough on its own.

Sounds like a good plan. Love Phillipa
