Can anyone compare it to the brand?

It seems the same to me. Maybe just a teensy bit stronger because I'm using less. But that might just be because I need less now.

There are times generic seems stronger, but once in a while, generic seems weaker. At first I definitely thought it was stronger. Now even after a "break" of several days so that it will work well again, it sometimes doesn't seem to be as effective. I'm not sure all of the pills dissolve at the same speed.

Hi mb. It's good to see you here.
I'm glad it's not just me who thought it might seem stronger. I'm so used to generics being either the same or less effective. I thought it was my imagination.

I am really leery of generics but I found the same as all of you. If anything, seems stronger.

Are you saying that generic ambien (zolpidem) seems stronger to you then the name brand (ambien) I think that the name brand is stronger than the generic, but that is just from experience. I have two insurances and one of my insurances paid for a 3 month supply of the name brand ambien and my secondary insurance only pays for 30 days of the generic form of ambien. I can take 10mg (1 pill) of the name brand ambien and sleep well. I have to take 2 pills of the 10mg to even feel the effects. I guess it just depends on the person.

thanks : )

Also, there are 3 different types generic out there that I have personally tried. The one I get now I would say might be stronger. The other two...maybe weaker. They both had a waxy coating on them. Maybe that is the diffeence.
