I'm confused; is the ENSAM patch completely free of any dietary restrictions, no matter what the dose?
How high a dose can you achieve with the ENSAM patch? As much as with oral Selegiline?
I was looking forward to trying the ENSAM patch, but I've read some older info on ENSAM that seems to indicate that dietary restrictions will come into play at higher doses.

I can go up to 10 mg with oral selegiline w/o dietary restrictions, but it seems like with the patch, you have the same restrictions if you go above 9mg.
Is the dose of oral selegiline comparable to the dose of the ENSAM patch, or is the patch more powerul?

Transdermal and sublingual selegiline result in much higher blood concentrations that oral dosing, primarily because first-pass metabolism (which also results in more l-amph/l-methamphetamine metabolites) is avoided.
Roughly, 6 mg of the patch is reported to correspond to 20mg orally, 9mg to 30, 12mg to 40.
I don't have a problem with dietary restrictions myself but there are some reports here that despite early FDA restrictions that the diet may not even be relevant for the higher patch dosages. There's a lot of threads here on EMSAM, might be worth doing a search.
Good luck.

Thanks for your help. I have searched the threads but yours was the first that explained the equivalency of dosing between oral selegiline and the patch.
Most of the threads were from 2006, a few from 2007, but none I saw really discussing the diet and when/if it was a concern at higher doses of the transdermal.
