Xanax and all benzos have an adverse effect on your memory. Long term use causes serious memory loss from what I have heard from my shrink
I have been on xanax for 8yrs and have gone down in dosage from 4mg a day to half of a .25 at night!!! I haven't felt any memory effects but I guess if I have forgotten anything I don't remember the memory to know I don't remember it.
