Hi,
Has anyone tried this combination and was it helpful.
Also, what are the risks of having serotonin syndrome with this combination?
The reason I ask is that I'm back on Seroxat and have a feeling it's just having the same effect as before when it stopped working. I feel anhedonic, not really looking forward to anything. Not as low as I can go and I did go when I came off it, not in the depths of despair just feel generally very unhappy and unalive.

Have you ever tried the herb feverfew? It is availbe as a migrane treatment, but it has 5-ht2a/c blockade like zyprexa (without the dopamine blockade). I find it helps anhedonia and can augment SSRI/SNRI's. If you see it try some. Its cheap & worth a try.

Hi Link,
I'm sooo cynical about herbs and vitamens etc I must say but I did try the Rhodiola Rosea I remember you saying was good and so far it doesn't seem to do much.
I think I may have tried feverfew years ago but might try it again, thanks for the suggestion.
Thing is though doesn't Mirtazapine drop 5HT2 A or C receptors and that didn't reallly work for me so don't see why feverfew would.
I can't help thinking that the reason that the Zyprexa helps me is more to do with it's affect on Dopamine but not sure why.

Must have been somebody else as I have never used Rhodiola so I wouldn't recomend it.

Mirtazapine has extra stuff though too like hitamine effects and noradrenergic effects.

You could be right, not too sure though. I remember you saying that you thought you had dysthemia. Blocking dopamine receptors can make some dysthemia much worse, as dopamine is the so called pleasure chemical.
How dose coffee affect you? Have you ever smoked? If so how did it affect you?
