Hi
I too am on 400mg of Lamictal and had problems like yours when i started 4 years ago. My short term memory was all over the place whereas random childhood events would pop up into my brain at random times of the day, events that would not normally surface if I looked back over my life at other times. It did fade quite rapidly and only resurfaced occasionally. I cannot recall having this side effect in the past two years apart from a couple of occasions when I was very stressed at work - staring at a computer screen wasn't helpful!
Hope you feel better

I was going to suggest the stress too as this is happening to me going over the past and not on lamictal. Must be stress anything going on? Love Phillipa

Interesting. I'm only at 100mg, but I have noticed more random long-term memories that pop in my head.
Question- at what dose did you notice an antidepressant effect? I think it has stabilized me a little, but am hoping that I will get wonderful results from a higher dose.

I noticed anti-depressant effects quite quickly. To start with, it was quite an agitating medication as I titrated but then, within a month or two, I started to feel well whereas before I'd felt suicidal. I've been on it for four years and I can honestly say it has saved my life.
This is the end of the thread.
