I've read in some places that this is a "serious" side effect. I guess I'm sort of confused and curious as to why.. it seems a bit minor to me?

On the health board another nardil user said the same thing. Why not a muscle relaxant if not contraindicated? Love Phillipa

some people get muscle tension from serotonin.

I agree. In fact, muscle tension / dystonia is a symptom of serotonin syndrome.

I would classify this as minor and common. I guess their referring to serotonin syndrome where the tension would be serious among other symtoms. I remember 50 mg of zoloft made my muscles very tense especially head and shoulders.
A small dose of a benzo may help with that.

Actually, Nardil did away with my upper-middle (thoracic) back pain, interestingly (due to facet syndrome). However, if you get muscle tension from it, Soma and baclofen are both safe (no interactions), as are benzos such as Valium or Klonopin.
