I've never taken either and doctor mentioned maybe trying one of these if my current combo doesn't last. Are they close or does pne have less sode effects. Do they "feel" close to the same?

I've taken amitriptyline and did well on it for quite a few years. It helped me sleep as well as my depression.

Nortriptyline comes from amitriptyline, Nortriptyline will effect noradrenaline more and supposdely has fewer side effects (or possibly mor elike the same side effects but less severe?), it's supposed to make you less drowsy than amitriptyline anyway.
