Probably about as useful as it is for depression, anxiety, GAD, SAD... ie totally and completly useless.

This site may be useful, your med is sort of a quick reversable maoi, used mainly for depression. If depression is adding to your panic attacks then maybe. I'm on a an MAOI and I no longer have panic attacks (I only had 2). You'd want to ask your PDoc.

Another place to look is Dr. Bob's Pschycopharm tips: Experience with moclobemide. It lists a bunch of PDoc's that have used it. Some love it, one I saw uses it for panic disorder, and some find it rather benign.
Hope that helps!

I took a minimal dose (one quarter of the usual starting dose) for a bit.
It was OK. Not quite worse than useless. It wasn't an insult. It increased my word fluency along with my feelings of unease, and slightly lifted my depression.

Thanks for the posts everyone. I'd love to try a MAOI for my severe panic disorder; however, both my GP and my psychiatrist refuse to prescribe them (there may be a slight chance with moclobemide though so that's why I'm considering it - although if it's useless for panic there's no point). Also tried most of the mainstream ADs.
Can't take benzos due to tolerance building up. Is Selegiline an effective drug for severe panic disorder??
Thanks!

I havn't tried it personally, but my thought would be that selegaline wouldn't be all that effective for panic disorder, if anything due to it's stimulating action i wouldn't be suprised if it made it worse. Somone here that's taken it may prove that wrong though.

I can't imagine it being helpful.
