O.K. - let me get this straight. It's fine for me to drink whey protein with tyrosine, right? It's tyramine that the problem?
Why does the diet put restrictions on protein shakes? What's in them that causes a problem?
I drink a whey protein shake with all the typical aminos in it and I also take more amino supplements every day. Is tryptophan O.K. also?
All info appreciated.

tyrosine is not tyramine - tyramine is the bad one. they are not the same thing. you can have tyrosine...in fact i take it on occasional as a supplement with nardil. dont worry about tryptophan either....in the bit you get in one of those drinks...you are fine. these compounds are all compounds you find normally in food...they are fine except the "tyrAMine" not "tyrOSine".
