I'd have thought it could push your norepinephrine to potentially dangerous levels though.
Also, if you believe the marketing blurb for Remeron serotonin syndrome might be a concern, but the evidence that it boosts serotonin is dubious:

I take Remeron (mirtazipine) and was told I would have to be off it for 2 weeks to try an MAOI.

I take 30mg-45mg of Remeron/Avanza with Nardil.
It takes the edge of my insomnia, seems to increase my REM state and has the nod of approval from my doc as he believes the risk of SS is very low.

i'd worry about hypertension not ss. not that i wouldn't be willing to try it.

Yeah, there are very few reports of SS on Remeron, and most of those are pretty dubious.
