If you have bipolar disorder I suggest you look at insulin resistance, because I think they may correlate.

Also if you have treatment resistant bipolar symptoms I would look into this too.

Hence in my opinion why atypical antipsychotics not good if cause weight gain in the person. Phillipa

According to Dr. Marianco, 100% of his bipolar patients are hypothyroid and making them blood tests wise hyperthyroid is hugely beneficial.
Hypothyroidism is also linked to insulin resistance.
