According to the news today, Flibanserin, which was being studied as an AD may now be approved for female sexual dysfunction.
I was wondering if there are other ADs or psych meds that have similar effects for a woman?
I noticed that when I took Abilify (I called it my "little blue pill") it made me feel much more sexual. Why is that? Does it effect the brain in the same way as Filbaserin?
I stopped taking Abilify bacause it made me swell up too much. Too bad, I had sex on the brain all the time from Abilify!

You might want to look at buspirone.
I would like to see flibanserin become available for whatever indication it can be approved for. Once that happens, I think it might be used as an augmenter of antidepressants to treat major depressive disorder, and perhaps generalized anxiety disorder. Flibanserin is a full agonist at the 5-HT1a receptor whereas buspirone and gepirone are only partial agonists. This might be what is responsible for any pronounced pro-sexual properties flibanserin might possess. Flibanserin also separates itself from buspirone and gepirone by acting as an antagonist of 5-HT2a receptors, something that might enhance its antidepressant and pro-sexual effects.
