Hello everyone, I just started EMSAM yesterday at 9 mg. I guess I'm impatient, every other med I would start seemed to work really quickly. I guess I'm expecting the same,so does anyone know about how long it might take to kick in?

Just a question how come you started at 9mg instead of 6. Do they make you still follow diet restrictions as read now they don't. I'd google Robert David Thread on babble so many answers there but I think is was fairly quickly. And good luck I always wanted to try it. Love Phillipa

Because of anxiety my pdoc said it would be too stimulating. Love Phillipa it's a long thread.

Its going to take a couple weeks. Did you find a therapist that specializes in anxiety disorders?

is EMSAM like a patch version of deprenyl? or a completely different entity entirely? i've always been interested in trying it, but sadly it's not available where i live ...

I haven't noticed much of a difference, no increased energy or increased motivation like the others who've tried it experienced. I'm impatient, I'm used to medications working fairly quickly for me. I guess I'll just give it some time and see. I'll keep you posted...
