Zyprexa, Depakote, and Sexual Drive/Pleasure

Posted by morganator on December 6, 2009, at 20:17:15

Can Zyprexa and Depakote have a negative impact on sex drive and ability to feel pleasure from sex? I think part of my problem is my depression. I'm just wondering how much my medications could be affecting me. I never had any problems with Zoloft though this does not mean it could not be affecting me in this way now.

Zyprexa has totally wiped out any and all drive I may have had. It wasn't that great with the zoloft, but at least once a week was doable. I would make a good Monk cause the last 4 months has brought me back to pre-puberty! Needles to say, my wife is not a happy camper, but thankfully she is understanding and supportive.
I believe I took my last 2mg dose of zyprexa last night so we'll see if things heat up down the road!!
