Good news and bad

Posted by Laney on January 6, 2010, at 17:49:41

I decided to up my paxil yesterday from 10 to 20mg. Things seem to be getting better depression wise already but I have more anxiety and muscle spasm feeling in my head an face.

What do you think. Ride it out. Take some extra Klonopin for now. Talk to the doctor about it tommorrow.

Thanks all!

When I was recently taking 20mg of Paxil by itself, I started having a major relapse of depression. I went up to 40mg and felt better depression-wise, but was having severe side effects. Now I am going back to 40mg of Paxil with Remeron added on, which controls the gastrointestinal side effects.

Maybe you're going up too fast? Could you do 15 mg and work up?

Good point Janejane except I've always been able to go up pretty quickly. Hopefully it subsides.

Now that I am taking Remeron, the side effects are very tolerable. So there is no need to drop down to smaller doses.
