I read this book years before on an antidepressant. He seems in reading again it's so different. I didn't know imipramine was really the first ad and that the author felt that problems couldn't be solved with a pill unless bipolar or schizophrenic. Not done with the book but who's finished it. It makes so far meds seem unnecessary? Phillipa

Phillipa, I read that book so long ago too. Hasn't he recanted some of that in Against Depression (which I have not read)saying that depression must be treated more aggressively because of the toll it takes on, among other things, physical health?

I don't know but I will try and find it and see. So far the first book I understand neurotransmitters so that's something. And lithium a week and didn't say a thing? Love Phillipa
